Green World Solutions GPS Audits
The Process
A crew of technicians record every irrigation device on a site with the GPS machine.
To do this, they have to turn on each valve to know where the heads are.
The x,y,z locations from the GPS data equal latitude, longtitude and elevation.
The data is downloaded into Green World's Distibution Analysis Software (DAS).
The head and nozzle data is entered into DAS software.
The distribution curves of the heads are already in the system or they are entered.
DAS software then creates a distribution analysis for every square foot of the irrigation site.

An Accurate Analysis of the Distribution of Water
Irrigation system efficiency is an evaluation of how the water is distributed to the irrigation area.
With Green World Solutions GPS Audit, science is used to evaluate irrigation site efficiency.
In the drawing above, the coverage for each area of the site can be seen. Where the color is green, the coverage is good.
Where the color is yellow or red, there is less coverage.
Where the color is blue, there is too much water being distributed relative to the rest of the site.
The Green World Audit Report
Green World delivers a comprehensive report with graphics and analysis for each valve area.
The report includes important results:
-
Shows areas of weakness in DU
-
Computes Distribution Uniformity
-
Do it per valve or per site
-
Computes recommendations
-
Put in head or nozzle corrections
-
Calibrate Change savings
GPS Audits Save Time and Money
The Green World GPS Audit changes the way audits are done and the impact:
-
GPS data collection time is 50% less than traditional audit method.
-
GreenWorld software calibrates savings to the head location – pin point and graphically documents problems
-
GreenWorld software allows you to simulate each conservation application or system change to determine savings
